At Paradies GmbH in Allschwil you get both: a carefully chosen range of watches and jewellery, and people who genuinely know the craft behind it. We do not just sell. We repair, polish, engrave and reset stones.
That is what sets us apart from a branch on the high street: your watch does not vanish into a central depot for weeks. It stays here, in our workshop, and you speak to the person working on it.

A watch is rarely just a device for telling the time. It was a gift, a keepsake, something inherited. When it stops, it is about more than the mechanics.
We repair watches of every kind in our own workshop: battery changes and glass replacement, new straps, full servicing of mechanical movements. Bring your watch in — we will look at it and tell you honestly what is worth doing and what is not.

No. You are welcome any time during opening hours. For a proper wedding ring consultation, though, a quick call ahead is worth it — then we can be sure to keep the time free for you.
A battery change usually takes a few minutes and you wait in the shop. For bigger repairs or a full service, we will tell you what to expect once we have looked at it — generally a few days up to two weeks.
It depends on the weight and the purity — and on the current gold rate, which moves every day. Just bring your pieces in: we test and weigh them here and make you an offer at the daily rate. The valuation is free and there is no obligation.
Yes. Snapped chain, single earring, bent ring — for the material value the condition makes no difference. With branded and luxury watches we do look closely at condition, because it affects the price.
That is exactly what the workshop is for. Soldering chains, replacing clasps, resetting a loose stone, bringing an heirloom back to life: bring it in, we will look at it together and tell you honestly what is possible.
